The Visual Arts Program at CSPS is an exciting and dynamic project-based program. Each project develops skills in the six areas of art - appreciation, drawing, painting, construction, modelling, printing and textiles. We draw inspiration from well-known artists, our own interests and the world around us, to shape and guide our creations.  Our program works within the Victorian Curriculum and maximises opportunities to engage students in projects that connect them with our country and culture. For example, students explore sustainable thinking by using recyclables in art, as well as, exploring the artistic history and culture of our First Nations Peoples.

Students have access to various forms of technology to both inform and create their projects, as well as utilising our working kiln and 3D printer! We aim to integrate visual arts with school and community based projects as much as possible, such as creating props for school musicals and designing legacy art installations found around the school grounds. Students are encouraged to explore and extend their artistic passions with opportunities to participate in lunchtime art clubs competitions, both locally and nationally.
